Ren is a former pastry chef and Nebraskan who traded waves of grain for the blue Florida ocean. Ren joined Starfish as a divemaster and spent much of his time helping and guiding divers. His knowledge of the reef is only eclipsed by the glossary of cooking techniques he's studied. Be careful- if you start a conversation with him about dive physics, the route to take on lobster mini season, or the crumb of your homemade sourdough; He'll talk your ear off till the sea-cows come home. Ren has since earned his PADI instructor rating and now shares his love for diving with new and experienced students alike. When Ren isn't teaching he's chasing the fish he was "THIS CLOSE" to catching.
